Job Corps is a no-cost education and vocational training program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps low income young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives by empowering them to get great jobs and become independent. There are several Job Corps training sites in Massachusetts and New England; our local parter is the Westover JobCorps Center located in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Virtual Orientations are conducted by MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center every 3rd Thursday of the month from 1pm-3pm. Click here to see our calendar of events to find the next orientation.
Job Corps program services include:
- Education and training in a wide range of careers – trades, medical, technology, manufacturing, driving/transportation, hospitality, culinary arts
- Work based learning
- Free housing, food, medical/dental, and a clothing stipend
This residential program takes from 9 – 24 months to complete depending on your interests
