Career Services Counselor Position Description:
The MHFH Career Services Counselor provides individual and group career counseling and coaching to customers. Provides services including skill and needs assessments, career exploration, labor market information research and support, program eligibility determination, occupational and work-based training eligibility determination, supportive services eligibility determination, case management and follow-up support, and job matching/job referral.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field of study.
- At least two years of experience in employment, vocational, or educational counseling and assessment.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft 365 applications, with emphasis on Word and Outlook.
- Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with a wide variety of people including customers, community partners, governmental agencies.
- Knowledge of area human services agencies and programs.
- Bi-lingual capacity is a plus.

One full-time (37.5 hours/week), hourly non-exempt position available. Salary is $25.58-$25.98/hr. after a 90-day probation period. Annual step increases provided. Excellent benefits and work environment.
